What We Do
Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) is a public agency that provides subsidized and public housing for low-income Oakland residents. It administers HUD’s Section 8 program, manages public housing units, and develops additional affordable housing. OHA’s mission is to ensure quality housing while promoting residents’ civic involvement and economic self-sufficiency. It also works with community partners and local agencies to connect residents with health, education, and social services.
