Florida Institute of Technology is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). In meeting the University’s tradition of ethical conduct at all levels of university life, the Assistant Director of Game Operations is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to represent the University in an honorable and ethical manner and complying with all athletic, NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), Florida Institute of Technology, and established Federal Government policies and protocols, including the use of all athletic and university software and technology systems, documentation, travel arrangements, equipment/supplies maintenance, orders, and community service. The Assistant Director of Game Operations is a Campus Security Authority (“CSA”) as defined by the Clery Act and will comply with university policies on the reporting of crime statistics and related information to the official designated by the University for the purposes of Clery Act reporting, and in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, is defined as Responsible Employee and will report incidents of sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment and sexual violence) and other inappropriate sexual conduct to the University’s Title IX Coordinator or other appropriate designee as required by University policy.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with planning and coordinating all game operations in managing all home varsity athletic & special events, including hiring, training, scheduling, and management of part-time and student personnel to coordinate facility setup and teardown, pre-game, in-game, and post-game activities, , serving as a liaison for visiting teams and officials, and ensuring Florida Tech athletics provides a positive experience for all participants and spectators 

  • Collaborate with athletic communications and promotions teams to create and execute in-game promotions, giveaways, and fan experiences. Monitor and evaluate fan feedback and adjust operations to improve the overall fan experience. 

  • Assist in managing a comprehensive electronic inventory program (TRAC), which encompasses distributing, collecting, and disposing of equipment, shoes, and apparel 

  • Serves as the secondary point of contact for Campus Security, Melbourne Police, National Cleaning Service (NCS), Panther Dining Services, and other outside vendors for support of game elements

  • Other duties assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for External Operations 

Requirements Include:

  • Previous experience working in an athletic game operations role preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Sport Management, Sports Facilities, Coaching, or other athletic-related discipline; Master’s degree preferred

  • First Aid/CPR

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES).
