Reporting to the Corporate Controller the Assistant Controller will be responsible for ensuring that financial reporting of performance is timely and accurate. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring all company entities are compliant with accounting policy and procedures. Providing support to corporate accounting through actively reviewing the performance of the company, constantly monitoring and updating the company’s cash flow projections, and providing support to the controller as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the Compliance Program - develop, implement and manage compliance procedures supporting corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform consolidation of the monthly Precinmac financial results
- Assist the Controller with providing timely and accurate consolidated information to support internal reporting requirements as well as monthly, quarterly and annual corporate reporting requirements. Review monthly results, analyze balance sheets, investigate anomalies and monitor complex transaction execution.
- Maintain and improve monthly business reporting - constantly prioritizing and highlighting key metrics requiring business action
- Review monthly financials to ensure accurate and timely reporting by legal entities
- Support business audits conducted by external auditors, as required.
- Assist with the support of the company’s insurance programs working with brokers on coverage analysis and renewal support
- Assist with integrations of acquired companies
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
- 7+ years’ experience, manufacturing industry experience, required
- A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, CMA, CPA and/or MBA, required.
Additional Abilities:
Big 4 Experience and/or internal audit preferred (3+ years)
Strong technical accounting knowledge
- The ability to operate within the company’s culture which is characterized by hands-on teamwork with sense of urgency, mutual support, flexibility, candor, and relative absence of hierarchy.
- A willingness and ability to share information, train, and serve as a mentor.
- Excellent consultative and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Proficiency of MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and knowledge of ERP system (Syteline)
- Ability to travel to other company sites, less than10%
