JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Community Manager reports to the Community. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the daily operations and management of our multi-family property. Your responsibilities will be focused on maintaining resident satisfaction, coordinating leasing activities, and ensuring the property's smooth functioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership:

  • Apply creative sales strategies to motivate leasing consultants and achieve occupancy goals.
  • Recruit, coach, motivate, and develop a highly skilled team.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the property management team.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective property operations.

Resident Relations:

  • Assist in leasing activities, including property tours, application processing, and lease execution.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing needs and concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair requests, ensuring timely issue resolution.

Financial Management:

  • Assist in budgeting, financial reporting, and expense tracking to achieve property financial goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including lease document preparation and background checks.
  • Support rent collection, track delinquencies, and coordinate lease renewals.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Contribute to marketing efforts by creating and promoting property-specific materials and social media updates.
  • Participate in outreach activities to attract potential residents and maintain high occupancy rates.

Vendor and Partner Relationships:

  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and partners to ensure high-quality services and timely repairs.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure compliance with property management policies, fair housing laws, and relevant regulations.

Stay informed about changes in property management laws and regulations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: College degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field

COMPETENCIES:

  • To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in property management or a related field, with a focus on leasing and resident relations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in basic computer software and property management technology
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations, and the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.
