Who You’ll Work With

Reporting to the , we are looking for an Assistant, Capacity to implement efficient and effective systems and operations to ensure the Capacity department and broader Programs team run smoothly.
What You’ll Do
As the Assistant, Capacity, you will lead key work streams that include:
(1) Supporting the Capacity Department
- Support virtual and in-person Capacity-specific meetings and events, including booking and setting up meeting room space/Zoom, taking meeting notes and sharing action items, prepping supplies for meeting attendees, keeping time, following up on post meeting tasks , etc.
- Enter and continuously monitor accuracy of Fellow and external partner data in Salesforce and internal databases, including Fellow alumni participation in Capacity programming (e.g., speaking engagements, planning or advisory groups, etc.) and responding to Fellow requests to be connected to resources.
- Research to identify strategic opportunities aimed at fostering the leadership development, organizational growth, and wellbeing of Echoing Green Fellows. Including meticulous attention to deadlines and skillful communication of details within specified timelines. Furthermore, the Assistant will play a key role in disseminating these resources while simultaneously supporting in assessing the quality of delivered Capacity programs.
- The Assistant will oversee the creation, processing, and tracking of Capacity requests and partner contracts, with a primary focus on ensuring the meticulous tracking of resources and connections to the Fellows.
- Monitor Capacity inboxes, respond or forward requests to the appropriate staff member to respond, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain an easily accessible, organized departmental library of files, documents, and processes with uniform file-naming conventions.
(2) Supporting the Programs Team & Broader Organization
- Support virtual and in-person Programs team meetings and events, including booking and setting up meeting room space, taking meeting notes and sharing action items, prepping supplies for meeting attendees, keeping time, etc.
- Support efficient and effective operations across the Programs team as needed / directed, including materials and meeting prep for pipeline-building events, capital-related selections and disbursement processes, and capacity-building programming.
- Assist in the screening, decision-making, and due diligence review processes of Fellowship applications and Follow-on Funding decisions
- Travel likely 1-3 times annually to represent Echoing Green (both national and international locations)

●Detail-Oriented Communication: Attention to detail in written and verbal communication across internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels (e.g. senior staff, Fellows, external judges, peers) and create error-free calendar invites, email responses, and process documents that reflect the Capacity Team’s voice
● Human-Centered Approach: Commitment to collaboration, laughter, and candor for oneself and others in the workplace
Base Salary: $50,000/year
Echoing Green offers a full benefits package designed to support employee wellness. This includes up to 27 days off per year, a best-in-class health insurance which covers medical, dental, and vision needs, fully paid parental leave, a monthly well-being stipend of $100/month, a monthly wireless stipend of $100/month, professional development stipend of $1350 per fiscal year, and a 403(b)-retirement savings plan with an employer match up to 7% of annual salary after first year.
This position will be considered a nonexempt position for purposes of federal wage and hour law, which means that the employee will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given work week. This position will also require the employee to work from our office in New York City 2 days/week, and remotely 3 days/week.
