Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, athletic administration, communications, education, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience in school athletics, athletic administration, sports information, communications, or event management.
  • Knowledge of interscholastic athletic operations and FHSAA or similar governing-body requirements preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and remain solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace and the ability to learn athletic scheduling, statistics, website, livestreaming, and communication platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Works in office, outdoor, and athletic-facility environments and may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, noise, and other conditions associated with athletic events.
  • Regularly moves throughout athletic facilities and fields and responds to event-related needs.
  • May work extended or irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the athletic schedule.
  • Must be able to lift and carry athletic equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
