This position oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial processes. This role acts as a bridge between senior management and the accounting team, providing strategic insights and maintaining the integrity of financial data.
[Key Responsibilities]
1) Accounting Close Review and Financial Reporting
- Review monthly financial statements to keep accurate financial records and report monthly managerial report package. Note: Shared Service Team’s Support is provided.
- Deliver accurate financial figures and analysis Management of year end closing, with engagement of Region and External Firm
- General accounting and reporting to local management, Region and head office in compliance with local and group requirements on timely/accurately.
2) Treasury management to ensure proper cash and working capital management including cash flow projection, oversight of petty cash management
3) Tax compliance
- Oversee and ensure timely preparation, filing, and compliance of all tax obligations including VAT, WHT, corporate income tax, and other statutory returns, while maintaining accurate records and liaising with tax authorities to resolve queries or audits.
- Ad hoc analysis request from Group/Region Finance
4) Fixed Assets management for capital planning and ensuring procurement process, Iternal controls by implementing group guideline.
5) Inventory management by inventory system reconciliation, stocktaking, quality inventory control.
6) Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement.
[Qualifications]
- Previous experience from similar positions in multinational environment for 8-10 years. Experience in the F&B and Retail is a plus.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database, financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, JDE, SAP)
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Korean Taxation
- Languages: Good command in English, both speaking and writing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
