Your role as Assistant Accountant SME

As an Assistant Accountant SME at Moore DRV, you will contribute to the growth of our accountancy & advisory practice. You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and action-oriented – both within the team and towards our clients. Our clients are primarily entrepreneurs in the real economy: passionate business owners who care deeply about their work, their employees, and their customers.
You will have daily contact with clients, assisting with their financial administration and addressing queries related to annual accounts.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Independently compiling basic annual accounts and interim reports.
  • Preparing straightforward year-end closings.
  • Assisting with the preparation of income tax (IB) and corporate tax (VPB) returns.
  • Coaching junior assistants in their day-to-day work.
  • Actively identifying risks and discrepancies in client administrations, and discussing these with (senior) relationship managers or (senior) managers.
What we are looking for

As an Assistant Accountant SME, you bring strong communication skills (English), a positive attitude, and attention to detail. You enjoy working in different teams and like taking on an advisory role.

Additionally, you:

  • Are pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a financial field such as Accountancy, Business Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Are always looking for opportunities to improve processes and eager to grow.
  • Are motivated to develop yourself into a trusted advisor in an increasingly digital and automated environment.
Working at the SME Accountancy & Advisory practice

Moore DRV has several offices across North Brabant, Zeeland, and South Holland. At our friendly Oss office, you’ll be working with about 30 colleagues across our tax, accountancy, advisory, and payroll departments.
Our team enjoys a good challenge and often ends the week together with a Friday afternoon drink. The typical Brabant hospitality is always present – whether it’s about work, personal matters, or just chatting about the latest football matches. We also regularly organize social activities, such as glow golf or padel clinics. And we stay involved with the local community, sponsoring various tennis and football clubs.
