Description
The Assistant Account Manager works alongside our Off-Premise Sales Team to ensure a positive retail experience for our partners and customers. This salesperson will ensure that the Pepin retail partners experience top-tier customer service and product execution.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full time, Monday – Friday; 6:00 AM start unless Supervisor adjusts the work week.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Holiday duty is required.
- Must have schedule flexibility.
OPERATIONS/ADMINISTRATIVE
- Must have experience consistently running sales routes.
- Build a positive relationship with all retail customers.
- Meet or exceed PDC Merchandising Standards.
- Build displays and participate in cooler resets as needed.
- Develop product orders and meet all required QD’s for all accounts. Help with sales orders when needed.
- Responsible for quality control of all products in all accounts and manage movement of close coded products.
- Educate and inform retailers on all current and upcoming sales promotions.
- Prepare all accounts prior to delivery (i.e. back stock).
- Responsible for maintenance of damaged product in all accounts on route.
- Monitor condition of paper and permanent Point of Sales materials and maintain current Point of Sales materials in vehicle.
- Manage hot-shot delivery needs of retailers.
- Required to return to all supermarkets in the afternoons during high volume periods (Holidays) for additional service.
- Responsible for execution of all chain programs and advertising features.
- Strive for additional sales and display opportunities.
- Strive for additional shelf space at all accounts.
- Maintain distribution for all brands and packages according to Pepin Distributing Company.
- Responsible for participation and accurate documentation of all sales contests.
- Maintain required call frequency for each account.
- Responsible for attending special activities and events (i.e. grand openings, samplings, promotions, etc.).
- Review current sales information (promotion bulletins, Mobility collateral, IDIG, IRI, email).
- Certified in BrewU Selling Skills and any other required training.
- Must always have cell phone and be available to manage your accounts.
- Work with and mentor Merchandisers.
Requirements
- Report directly to Off-Premise Market Manager.
- Daily team communication with Market Manager, Assistant Account Manager, and Merchandisers.
- Maintain quality appearance as outlined in PDC employee handbook.
- Maintain Mobility route book with all required information including build ups, messages, notes for instruction.
- Track all PFP/KPI/Mobility, Go Spot Check Data Surveys during sales calls.
- Monitor competitive promotional/pricing activities and report significant marketing strategies or beverage law violations to Off-Premise Sales Manager.
- Submit new account information and any changes to the Data Processing Department.
- Meet all syncing deadlines.
- Attend all meetings, seminars, and training scheduled by management.
- Monitors no sale list on a bi-weekly basis.
- Responsible for all equipment issued by Pepin Distributing.
- Maintain company vehicle to PDC standards and report repair needs immediately to the Maintenance Shop.
- General proficiency with standard office suite software as well as industry-specific software like VIP and the ability to learn new software and programs as needed.
- May be called upon by management to perform other duties.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 65 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, and climb repeatedly.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass/maintain DOT physical requirements.
