The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Specialist to support the delivery of the Battlespace Communications Systems (BCS) Programs. Boeing's Battlespace Communications System is the Australian Defence Force's next generation command, control and communications system which connects deployed forces.
As a skilled Asset Management Specialist you will apply your Asset Management and Inventory Management skills to support a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of complex Defence Communications Programs.
This position is based in Brisbane, with duties split between Boeing Brisbane City Office and Wacol Facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Be the BCS program point of accountability for asset management of Government Furnished Equipment; Production, Support, and Test Equipment; and Laboratory Assets.
- Develop and maintain tools, databases, registers for asset management that support stock movements, receipting, custodian information, configuration data, and maintenance/calibration status.
- Develop and maintain processes to support management of assets; provide process guidance to teams to support asset management.
- Be the primary point of contact for asset management, coordinating with broad range of internal stakeholders including program focals, warehouse logistics staff, supply chain management staff, laboratory and production teams, security focals, and configuration management specialists.
- Lead the implementation and enforcement of secure handling and storage controls for sensitive/export-controlled items.
- Support the continuous improvement of asset management processes and train relevant teams on responsibilities and workflows.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:
- A Minimum of 5 years' experience in a warehouse, depot, or logistics environment; preferably with a Defence context. Experience in supporting ASDEFCON projects is highly regarded.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining asset management tools and processes, including providing training to team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- An ability to work independently, with initiative to lead tasks to completion and proactively work with stakeholders.
- Experience in Defence Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) / Accountable Cryptographic Material (ACM), High Assurance Communications Equipment (HACE) management and handling is highly desirable.
- Australian citizenship and able to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance up to NV1 level.
