Job Description
The US ETF Platform Management Team sits within the Client Service and Business Platform organization and is entirely dedicated to the Exchange Traded Funds business within Asset Management. The team oversees and develops the exchange traded fund operating model and oversees the ETF creation / redemption process, supports new fund launches and supports ETF Board administration. Members of the team work very closely with ETF Capital Markets, Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Administration, Legal, Compliance, ETF Product Development, Fund Implementation, Tax, Operations and Technology groups.
As an ETF Platform Management Vice President within the Asset Management organization you will be responsible for overseeing and developing the exchange traded fund operating model. In this role you will sponsor and manage strategic initiatives while proactively responding to industry and regulatory changes. As a member of the team, you will manage the exchange traded fund governance process while identifying and mitigating risks. You will oversees the ETF creation / redemption process, supports new fund launches and supports ETF Board administration. In this role you will work very closely with members across the Asset Management organization in an effort to service our ETF funds.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the end to end operating model for the U.S. and Canadian ETF business across Portfolio Management, Product Administration, Fund Accountant, Order Taker, Distributor and the Stock Exchanges.
- Support portfolio management/investment teams in unique ETF roles and responsibilities; including creation and redemption (primary market) activity, including leveraging custom baskets to facilitate discretionary investment decisions in a tax-efficient manner.
- Create and maintain each fund's primary market (Order Taking) creation and redemption policies and procedures.
- Maintain Authorized Participant Handbook, Prospectus disclosures, Authorized Participant Agreements, and other ETF specific agreements.
- Project manage initiatives to enhance the portfolio management experience and the operating model to support new types of ETFs during the product development phase.
- Identify, Initiate, and Drive strategic projects to comply with regulatory changes, ETF industry best practices and technology platform enhancements.
- Monitor capital gain distribution status and proactively engage portfolio management/investment teams to identify opportunities to manage tax efficiency.
- Lead process to select third party vendors, specific to ETFs/ETF services.
- Be responsible for governance and oversight of the ETF complex to comply with regulatory requirements (SEC 6c-11, 40'ACT).
- Prepare and present reports to management and the JPMorgan Funds Board of Trustees.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)
- Proven track record in project management, product management, business management, or front office/client service roles.
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Comprehensive proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate complex systems and their interdependencies to design efficient operating models.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with ETF Capital Markets, ETF Product Development, and the Investment teams.
- Proven ability to drive results while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on follow-up and accountability.
