ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Assembly Technician for Biofire, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the meticulous assembly of our state-of-the-art Smart Gun. You will work in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the creation of products that redefine firearm safety and technology..
To succeed you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of assembly processes, particularly in electronics and firearm assembly. You will need to be a team player, who is eager to contribute to the success and growth of Biofire while working in production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Assembly and Integration: Execute precise assembly of Biofire's Smart Gun components following standardized procedures and quality control measures;;

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks at each stage of the assembly process to guarantee the reliability and functionality of the smart guns. Identify and rectify any defects or issues promptly;

  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.

  • Equipment Operation: Operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment required for assembly tasks. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance;

  • Precision and Accuracy: Work with precision and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all assembled parts and components. Follow established procedures to maintain consistency and uniformity in assembly processes;

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in assembling and troubleshooting mechanical or electronic components, previous experience in assembly or manufacturing roles preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions;

  • Efficient use of time to meet production deadlines without compromising quality;

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions;

  • The ability to move frequently and stand for long periods. You need to be able to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

In addition to competitive pay, as a full-time employee at Biofire you are eligible for:

The compensation range for this role is $23.00 - $25.00/hour + stock options + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

 

LOCATION

This is a full-time, hourly role that will require you to be on-site. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver.
This position will require overtime work to meet project deadlines. The ability to work beyond regular hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
We expect you to bring your very best, and in return, we will provide the support necessary for you to excel. You'll collaborate with colleagues you appreciate, respect, and find inspiration from, and have access to all the technical resources required at our Broomfield office.
