About This Role: 

The Assembly Lead is responsible for the oversight of a team that performs final assembly of manufactured products and components to completion, including proper packaging & palletizing of products to ship. Review work orders to ensure the team has all resources to complete tasks including hardware, components and in house parts. Work with other departments leads to avoid any shortages. 

A Day In The Life:

  • Leadership of assembly crew, including training and coaching, managing crews PTO/Sick time ensuring enough manpower in department

  • Reviewing work orders to ensure proper materials 

  • Review and Install Company Logo/Labeling including NEMA Ratings and UL information

  • Coordination with other department leads and production manager to ensure that production meets required schedule

  • Schedule adherence and communication of any schedule changes to internal teams, including Project Management and Sales

  • Accountable to continuously improve procedures, processes and methods in the work team to ensure safety and quality

  • Maintain work area, parts inventory and materials to prevent production delays

  • Act as a floater/resource to backfill production team members, when required

You Will Thrive In This Role If:

  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs 

  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to operate computers

  • Willing to take a background and drug test

  • Licensed Forklift Operator preferred

  • Crating and packaging skills

  • UPS and FedEx tracking knowledge preferred

  • Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Infor Visual or Acumatica experience a plus

  • Computer literacy in MS Office and Google products

  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to check engineering drawings

  • Eager to learn with strong listening and critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self -starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and willingly accepts responsibility

  • This person performs as a team player, always shows a positive attitude towards clients, and strives for constant improvement in process and delivery

  • An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end

  • Drive to create and continually improve systems

  • High level of mechanical aptitude

  • ISO 9001:2015 experience is a plus

  • Metal manufacturing experience is a plus 

  • Electro Mechanical experience is a plus

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $30-$35/hr. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
