Art Director

Description

As the Art Director at Digitain Group's subsidiary company Galaxsys, the candidate will lead the creative vision and design output for our gaming products. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team consisting of UX/UI designers, illustrators, and animators, ensuring that our games maintain top-tier quality, innovation, and user engagement. Your role is essential in aligning our visual design strategies with the overall product goals, staying ahead of design trends and technologies, and representing the design unit in management meetings. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring effective user research and feedback mechanisms, ensuring our designs resonate with player needs and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage Design Teams: Oversee and mentor a talented design team including UX/UI designers, illustrators, and animators, ensuring high-quality output across all projects
• Drive Creative Vision: Establish and maintain the creative direction and aesthetic quality for all game-related projects, ensuring consistency in style and innovation across the board
• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product, marketing, and development teams to ensure alignment between design and overall game/product vision
• Quality Control: Ensure that all design deliverables meet the highest standards in terms of visual quality, usability, and market relevance, while being responsible for the final output
• Deadline Management: Set realistic timelines for projects and ensure that the team delivers on time while maintaining quality
• Innovation and Trends: Stay ahead of emerging trends in game design, technology, and user experience, implementing new tools and creative solutions to keep our products competitive
• User Research & Feedback: Develop and implement user research strategies to gather player feedback and analyze market trends. Ensure the design team incorporates these insights into game design for optimal player engagement
• Working Mechanics for Feedback: Create and oversee efficient processes for gathering and integrating feedback from players, market research, and industry trends, ensuring our design team adapts to evolving player preferences and expectations
• Team Representation: Act as the primary representative for the design team in management and stakeholder meetings, showcasing the team’s work and progress
• Cultural Leadership: Foster a collaborative, innovative, and healthy work environment that promotes creativity and teamwork within the design unit
• Accountability: Take full ownership of the team’s performance, continuously improving processes to ensure that goals and objectives are met efficiently

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Art Director or similar role, preferably in the iGaming or gaming industry
• Expertise in UX/UI design, animation, and illustration, with a strong understanding of design principles and how they apply to gaming
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring designers and fostering creative growth
• Ability to work across different departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with user research and data-driven design, incorporating feedback from players and market trends into creative decision-making. Up-to-date knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI-driven design tools)
• Ability to balance multiple projects, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
• A portfolio demonstrating a strong aesthetic sense, creativity, and innovation in game design
