Position Summary

SciPlay is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play games that millions of people play every day for their authenticity, engagement and fun.
SciPlay currently offers nine core games, including social casino games Jackpot Party Casino, Gold Fish Casino Slots, Hot Shot Casino and Quick Hit Slots, and casual games MONOPOLY Slots, Bingo Showdown, 88 Fortunes Slots, Backgammon Live, and Solitaire Daily Break with offices all over the world!

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Art Director to lead our art team in developing mobile slot games. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in slot game art, a solid understanding of mobile game art, and experience managing creative talent. The Art Director will be responsible for setting the visual style, overseeing the art production process, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality assets that meet the unique needs of a mobile platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the artistic vision for mobile slot games, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual experience.

• Manage a team of artists, including illustrators, animators, and technical artists.

• Collaborate with game designers, developers, and product owners to ensure the artistic vision is aligned with gameplay and technical requirements.

• Establish and maintain quality standards for art assets, providing feedback and guidance to the art team.

• Ensure all assets meet the required technical specifications and are optimized for mobile performance.

• Follow industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to ensure our slot games and skills remain relevant and competitive.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Game Design, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in game art design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or art director role, preferably within the mobile gaming or slot industry.

Skills:

• Proficient in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, 3ds Max, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of mobile game development processes and limitations.

• Excellent concept art, illustration, and storytelling skills.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of art styles and high-quality slot game assets is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of animation principles and experience with related software and tools.
