The Role

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $146,400.00 in our lowest geographic market to $346,200.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Art Directors who will be owning the look & feel of the campaign. They are the experts on Art & Graphic design photography & videography as well as typography & motion graphics. They will be partnering with the Studio Performance & Lifestyle CD’s on concepting & building the creative strategy. Will be reporting to the Senior Creative Director for the Men’s Performance and Lifestyle and will be peers with CD’s and floating between campaigns.  They will work alongside designers, producers & copywriters. They are master ideators & when needed executors when it comes to craft and are familiar working across several mediums including art direction, moving image, graphic and spatial design. They have a passion for creativity and are committed to staying up to date with current and future trends and technology.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Work with the CD’s, Design specialists and Studio team to develop the Creative Direction for the campaigns.

  • You will craft the Art Direction and design, uphold excellence, ambition, and team spirit.

  • Own & deliver outstanding photography, video content, digital and experience design in service of the category & consumer.

  • Deliver best in class design solutions for the Men’s Performance & Lifestyle Studio across social, digital, print and experiential.

  • Help craft art direction for video and stills shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets.

  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to Nike and the design team.

  • Collaborate with styling, marketing, tech, retail, photography and editorial to meet brand vision and standards.

  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively exceptional, and delivered within timelines.

  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success.

  • Balance Design execution with Art direction ideation, seamlessly transitioning back and forth as needed.

  • Expert knowledge of design treads and best practice across entire ecosystem, with an ability to critique and give feedback on layout, typesetting, image cropping and design color palette.

  • Ability to work with diverse teams while motivating and leading the team of designers for the project as well as being great partner to CD’s to build the campaign vision overall.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report into Sr. Creative Director of North America Men’s Performance and Lifestyle while partnering with the Creative Directors in the studio alongside the Global Creative team, Brand and Social Teams, the Content Production team, and Brand team.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 8+ years graphic design + art direction experience in a creative agency, design agency, editorial or brand environment.

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture with an obsession in Basketball, Football (American and Global), and Training.

  • A  strong connection culture sharp focus in Gen Z interests, language, and trends.

  • Stand out portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a background in 360 campaigns, photo + video art direction, digital, editorial design and layout.

  • Great knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across editorial formats and platforms.

  • Thorough understanding of today’s media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of interactive communication, processes and user-interface design for digital products.

  • A positive mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

  • Laser-sharp focus to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

  • Strong time management to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping workstreams moving forward simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with dedication to foster cross-functional teamwork and an open, positive and collaborative environment.

  • Highly developed curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past.

  • Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects.
