- Overview:
- We are looking for a highly skilled Databricks Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale data platforms.
- The role requires deep expertise in Databricks architecture, data engineering, Unity Catalog (UC), governance, security, performance optimization, and cloud-native data solutions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable and secure Databricks Lakehouse architectures
- Lead implementation of data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and analytics frameworks
- Define enterprise data governance and security standards using Unity Catalog (UC)
- Architect CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and automation for Databricks environments
- Optimize Spark workloads, cluster utilization, and platform cost efficiency
- Collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, and data teams on enterprise data initiatives
- Design data integration patterns across cloud, APIs, MDM, and enterprise systems
- Support migration and modernization from legacy data platforms to Databricks
- Establish best practices for performance, scalability, governance, and operational excellence
- Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks platform architecture
- Experience with Unity Catalog (UC), RBAC, access management, and governance frameworks
- Deep knowledge of Spark, Delta Lake, PySpark, SQL, and distributed data processing
- Experience with Azure Databricks / AWS Databricks environments
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security controls
- Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, DevOps automation, and infrastructure-as-code
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance, metadata management, and compliance standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, MDM platforms, and enterprise integration patterns is preferred
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation programs
- Exposure to AI/ML enablement within Databricks ecosystem
- Strong stakeholder management and architecture governance experience
