What is the Financial Systems Analyst responsible for?The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for collaborating with finance and IT teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that enhance financial operations at Franklin Templeton. This includes utilizing AI tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Python, Macros, and SQL to automate and optimize financial processes.
Daily / Weekly Responsibilities:
Collaborate with finance and IT teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions.
Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Python, Macros, and SQL to automate and optimize financial processes.
Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide technical support and training to finance staff on new systems and tools.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Provide assistance with billing operations as required.
Monthly / Quarterly Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial models and reports.
Perform monthly close processes and prepare financial statements, variance analysis, and supporting details for assigned functional groups if needed.
Continuously monitor and improve system performance and user experience.
Other Responsibilities:
Timely and effective communication with other team members and managers, including status updates for assigned entities.
Participate in various ad-hoc cross-departmental/cross-functional projects.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional certifications in finance and technology (e.g., CFA, CPA, Python, SQL).
Proven experience in a techno-functional role within the finance industry.
Proficiency in AI tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, Python, Macros, Power BI and SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in finance.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet upload, pivot tables, macros and related functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Preferred Experience:
Prior working experience within the mutual fund or asset management industry.
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
