What will you do?
- Resolve claims on hold due to denials or coding errors.
- Use Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections.
- Write clear and concise appeal letters.
- Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, completion of additional information requests, etc. as requested by insurance companies.
- Maintain superior, positive internal and external customer service relationships.
- Maintain open lines of communication with families, providing on-site support, as well as email and phone support.
- Plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion.
- Work with a tight-knit team in a fast- paced, high-growth environment.
- Initiate inquires, either by phone, fax, internet or in writing, to health insurers and/or patients to resolve reimbursement and coverage issues.
- Basic understanding of and ability to use basic software and systems including, but not limited to, electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products; daily use of laptop and/or tablet for email, note taking, and other tasks required.

- You have 2+ years of healthcare billing experience.

The base pay range for this opening is $26.19 to $32.73 per hour. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
