What you’ll do

  • Mechanical Support: Assist Service Technicians daily with routine maintenance, repairs, and installation of mechanical equipment, ensuring smooth and reliable operations. 
  • Hands-on Learning: Perform basic mechanical tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, assembling, and dismantling components under supervision to develop practical skills. 
  • Inspection and Reporting: Conduct equipment inspections regularly and report any defects or abnormalities promptly to the supervising artisan to maintain safety and reliability. 
  • Skills Development: Actively engage in learning and applying mechanical fitting skills aligned with training requirements and competency standards to progress towards qualification. 
  • Training Compliance: Complete required training modules, maintain logbooks, and pass assessments within set timeframes to support long-term career growth. 
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science or N3 in Mechanical Engineering. 
  • Ability to read technical drawings. 
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop mechanical fitting skills. 
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork in a hands-on technical environment. 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Background in a technical environment. 
  • Valid Code 10 / C1 Driver’s License. 
  • Previous exposure to mechanical maintenance or fitting tasks. 
  • Reporting skills.
