Who are you?

You are detail-oriented and eager to begin or grow your career in the appraisal industry. You enjoy work that requires accuracy, organization, and analytical thinking, and you're looking for an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. At C&N, we're seeking an Appraisal Support Specialist I to support our Appraisal Department throughout the appraisal process. This position offers the opportunity to develop your appraisal knowledge while working throughout our market area, with flexibility to work within one hour of our Jersey Shore, PA location. You will be responsible for:

  1. Providing administrative support to the Appraisal Department by gathering courthouse documentation, obtaining property information, maintaining appraiser files, and supporting departmental operations. 
  2. Reviewing appraisals and evaluations to ensure compliance with USPAP, FDIC, and secondary market guidelines while maintaining accurate records.
  3. Preparing and maintaining appraisal activity reports, tracking appraisal orders, and monitoring Third-Party Management Company activity.
  4. Coordinating appraisal orders with approved appraisers, monitoring appraisal progress, and ensuring completed reports meet quality and regulatory standards.
  5. Assisting loan staff by obtaining comparable property information, reviewing evaluations for accuracy and reasonableness, and maintaining evaluation records.

Requirements:

Education & Experience – You will need some college or technical school courses in a related field AND less than one year of related experience and/or training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Certifications – USPAP (within 180 days of employment)

Special Requirement – Valid driver's license required. Travel throughout C&N's market area is required. Candidates should reside within approximately one hour of our Jersey Shore, PA market.
