Console is building the AI agents that power autonomous enterprises. We use AI to autonomously resolve IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Security, and Ops tasks the moment they come in from Slack or Teams. We're building toward a future where enterprise operations are fully autonomous; with no tickets, approvals, or manual processes slowing companies down.
Our platform enables companies like Databricks, Figma, and Cursor to delegate entire categories of work to AI agents that understands their org, takes action across systems, and gets smarter over time. We've raised $29M, backed by Thrive Capital (investors in OpenAI, Stripe, GitHub) and a small group of founders who have built category-defining companies.
We’re unusually selective about the people we work with. We hire builders who span functions, optimize for speed, and care deeply about their craft. We do not care about pedigree. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Join us.
About the roleWe’re hiring an Applied AI Engineer as the number and complexity of AI workflows in our system scale rapidly. As more customers rely on Console to automate critical back-office operations, we need engineers who can push our core agent loop to be faster, smarter, and more reliable.
You’ll own and evolve the core agent loop and the AI workflows that make the product feel like magic. Working closely with product and leadership, you’ll ship fast, build intuitive and resilient systems, and drive projects end-to-end, helping shape both the platform and the future of the product.
What You'll DoYou’ll build and improve AI systems that operate in real-world conditions, where reliability, speed, and adaptability matter. At Console, you will:
Build intelligent agents that automate work and significantly increase productivity
Design copilot-style workflows that help human operators do more, faster
Treat agent quality like a first-class ML optimization problem using real usage data to make the core agent loop to be more reliable, adaptable, and resilient
Build category defining product capabilities, from idea to production
You’re a product-minded engineer who enjoys building real systems people depend on. You’ll likely have:
4+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on applied AI products
Proven track record of shipping agentic systems used by real users
Comfortable across the stack (TypeScript, Node.js, React) and debugging production systems
Strong product sense, with a focus on building intuitive, reliable systems
Ownership mindset: you drive projects end-to-end and iterate quickly from real usage
Enjoy following SOTA research into new models and agent architectures
Comfortable building products that live at the intersection of AI and ML
Product-market fit: We have built the leading product in our category, in a massive market. We've hit an inflection point and are on track to build a generational company.
World-class team: We seek high agency contributors who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize what matters and are action-biased.
Grow with us: We reward impact, not credentials or years of experience. We intend to grow talent from within as we scale up.
Competitive pay and benefits: top compensation with full benefits including:
Equity with early exercise & QSBS eligibility
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance

What We Do
Console helps IT teams automate support requests directly in Slack using AI that is trained on your existing KB, app matrix, company policies, etc. Anything that can't be automated is seamlessly handed off to a human agent in your existing help desk. We're currently able to deflect 55%+ tickets across our customers, automating things like: access requests, KB search & surfacing, password / MFA resets, group management, team routing, etc.
