Our client is an early-stage software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as an early engineering hire on a very small team, taking new AI-driven features from first idea through live deployment. The work blends hands-on building, independent judgment calls and regular conversations with the people who use the software.
What you'll do
- Take full responsibility for launching new AI-powered capabilities, covering the interface layer, backend logic and model coordination.
- Develop and refine autonomous, agent-style software that learns from usage patterns and handles repetitive tasks.
- Decide independently how to balance architecture quality, dependability and delivery pace.
- Talk with users and business clients to understand how they work, then build quick prototypes.
- Contribute to the direction of the product, the technical foundations and the team culture from the start.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 2 to 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- A track record of taking machine learning or LLM-driven software from nothing to a working production release.
- Prior time as a startup engineer, founder or owner of a significant product area.
- Advanced professional skill in Python.
- Comfort moving between product thinking, software engineering, modeling and infrastructure work.
- Creative product sense, including the ability to propose and shape new features.
- A strong academic record from a well-regarded university.
- Experience at AI research labs, AI-focused startups or infrastructure firms is preferred.

- Base salary: USD 300,000 to 500,000 per year
