Applied AI Engineer

As an Applied AI Engineer, you will design and deploy production-grade AI systems using the latest foundation models such as OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude. You will build agentic AI workflows that automate real-world tasks and integrate AI capabilities deeply into business systems. This role offers the opportunity to work in small, highly skilled teams driving immediate results and exploring cutting-edge techniques in applied AI.
Design and implement agentic LLM workflows automating decision-making, information retrieval, and customer interactions.
Engineer context pipelines including prompt design, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented generation for reliable and domain-aware AI.
Integrate AI models into production environments through APIs, databases, dashboards, and third-party services.
Build automation layers using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LangFuse to connect LLMs with tools and business systems.
Develop evaluation and benchmarking suites to monitor accuracy, safety, and robustness of AI solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, rapidly prototype, and deliver measurable business value.
Experiment with new models, architectures, and scaling approaches to advance applied AI frontiers.
Requirements
3+ years professional experience with strong coding skills in Python (bonus for TypeScript/JavaScript).
Proven experience deploying large language model systems in production (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar).
Deep understanding of context engineering including prompt optimization and retrieval methods.
Comfort working with SQL/NoSQL databases and integrating APIs in production systems.
Experience shipping production-grade software, from prototypes to live deployment.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated curiosity and product sense, motivated to turn AI models into real-world applications.
Nice to Have:
Experience with multi-agent AI frameworks, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), or vector search technologies (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
Familiarity with AI observability and evaluation tools such as LangFuse, Weights & Biases, or MLflow.
Exposure to large-scale business domains like finance, operations, supply chain, or analytics.
Background in ML research or applied science (Master’s or PhD).
