Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customers
- Promote & encourage "Profit Management" to ensure a profitable future for the company
- Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
- Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
- Take incoming calls, emails and faxes from customers and discuss equipment applications, design and configuration of fluid handling systems.
- Make equipment recommendations and prepare quotations
- Assist with the follow-up of all quotes.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- A 4 year degree preferably in engineering. Other 4 year degrees are acceptable.
- The ability to talk and connect with people in person and over the phone is a must.
- The drive to do whatever it takes to solve the customer’s problems and fulfill their needs.
- Computer literate
- Organized and detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Self starter demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
