This senior developer position works independently to develop, implement, and maintain complex technology solutions.- Review business requirement documents (BRD) and translate into technical specifications
- Work from technical specifications to independently develop, modify and maintain complex software products
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for remediation
- Perform Tier Two Production Support as required
- Provide status updates to management
- Leads design/code reviews, architecture discussions and infrastructure reviews
- Mentors staff
- Assigns work and directs staff in the production of work product
- Manages interactions with external vendors
- Directly interacts with internal customers and manages customer expectations
- Formulates and manages system scope, objectives and cost for assigned projects
Education/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering or MIS) (equivalent work experience may be considered)
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:
- Professional certification in area of expertise a plus
Knowledge:
- Requires expert knowledge of software development life cycle methodology
- Requires advanced knowledge of object oriented languages
- Requires knowledge of relational database management systems
- Demonstrates understanding of core business functions
- Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem
Skills and Abilities:
- Requires demonstrated proficiency in application programming
- Requires proficiency in SQL
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Requires excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Requires excellent organizational and time management skills
- Requires ability to lead multiple tasks
- Prefers hands on experience with IBM Rational Suite
- Requires proficiency in MS Office tools, including Visio and Project
- Requires ability to lead globally distributed team
Travel (If Applicable):
- May be called upon to perform production support or system rollouts on nights and weekends.

Salary Range:
$108,000 - $147,420This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
