The Applications Analyst configures, tests, implements, documents, maintains, and supports application systems across the health system. This position works with vendors, end users, IT teams, project members, and leadership to ensure applications meet business and user needs.
The analyst supports application implementations, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing production support. This role requires a general understanding of project methodology and the system development lifecycle and works under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and support application systems and related technology.
- Develop and maintain test plans, scripts, documentation, configurations, and training materials.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing with business and clinical users.
- Assist with application implementations, upgrades, patches, releases, and deployments across test, training, and production environments.
- Support application backup, recovery, system restoration, and routine data archiving.
- Provide end-user support and training as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure teams, IT colleagues, and business partners to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Support applications and projects of low complexity.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with patient privacy and organizational requirements.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in IT initiatives, workgroups, continuing education, and performance improvement activities.
- Maintain required competencies and adhere to department policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- General understanding of project methodology and the system development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to learn new applications and technologies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years related experience in the duties and responsibilities listed above. Healthcare setting preferred.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
