Responsibilities:
- Part of the growing trading support team in Asia supporting APAC equity trading desks across Hong Kong, Japan, Sydney, Singapore and India
- Equity products covered: Cash, Portfolio Trading, DMA, DSA, Swaps and Convertible Bonds
- Part of a regional application support team to provide production support on the global equity Fidessa trading platforms and handle FIX connectivity issues related to clients, vendors and internal users
- Regional morning check-outs and primary support coverage on Hong Kong holidays
- Work closely with Asia project management and global teams on new business initiatives and priority
- Engage technical discussion with vendors and in-house developers on new Asia trading requests
- Manage vendor’s delivery schedule and progress on systems implementation and upgrades
- Co-ordinate and participate in UAT together with vendors and various internal teams and users
- Prepare application system and operation flow, user training and documentation
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years of experience in equity front office IT space with strong hands-on application support, project management and business analysis skill.
- At least 3 years of experience in Order Management System application, exposure to Fidessa & would be highly regarded
- Ideally to have 3 years or more experience on FIX protocol, connectivity and order routing application, preferably ULLink order routing platform
- Project management and implementation experience in regional front office trading platform for Asia markets a definite plus
- Have clear understanding of Japan and Asian equities order flow life cycle
- Familiar with trading system workflow on both high-touch (single stock, basket trading, swap, converts) and low-touch (DMA and Algo) trading
- APAC market knowledge e.g. investor ID, auction mechanism, short sell rules an added advantage
- Able to independently manage multiple tasks, detail oriented, proactive, good sense of ownership and urgency
- A strong team player able to collaborate smoothly with own and cross team members as well as well-versed in working with equity front office users at various locations with a globally driven technology operation model
- Highly competent and effective in both verbal and written communication in English and Japanese
