About the Role
About the role: Harman Software Products operation teams provide ongoing maintenance and 24/7 support to our customers in the automotive industry. The team consists of highly technical engineers working on complex architectures and cloud deployments.
As an App Subject Matter Expert Engineer, you will own strategic accounts, demonstrate high levels of technical expertise and work closely with customers and engineering teams to provide top-of-class service.
Your Role will be
- Provide ongoing integration and maintenance of Harman® OTA solution
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Provide hands-on customer support and ticket handling
- Own and lead complex technical problems and escalations
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of applications.
- Continuously monitor and enhance application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Actively participate in the requirements and architecture process
- Be part of the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support
Skills and qualification
- B.E/B.Tech.Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in the software industry, in customer-oriented roles
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux: Proficiency in Linux system administration, including scripting abilities
- Web and server architecture: In-depth understanding of web technologies and server architecture, including deployment and maintenance.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MQ, and other microservice architecture support knowledge
- Networking architecture: Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles and hands-on experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Database management: Ability to read and manage databases, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process optimization.
- Experience in managing and supporting customers from different regions.
- Excellent customer service communication skills in English
- Ability to work flexible hours according to customers regions & shift
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
What is Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Java programming and development
- Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Software development and code analysis: Expertise in Java, C/C++, and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, shell, and Ant.
