Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and diagnosing issues across various critical business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring smooth operation of multiple interconnected components. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and swiftly resolve disruptions, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of business processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on complex issues.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- Experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security management.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, installation, configuration, and patching.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with scripting languages to automate routine database tasks.
- Knowledge of database replication and high availability solutions.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
