Summary:
We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling Connect professional to lead the architecture, installation, configuration, and support of IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer solutions. The role includes deploying IBM Sterling Connect on Azure cloud, enabling secure file transfers with external partners, driving high-level solution design, and providing L3/L4 production support..
Solution Architecture & Implementation
Lead the installation, configuration, and upgrade of IBM Sterling Connect (Connect:Direct / Sterling File Gateway / B2B Integrator) in Azure cloud environments.
Design high-availability, scalable, and secure MFT architecture.
Define infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, and performance tuning strategies.
Implement DR, backup, and failover solutions.
Managed File Transfer & Partner Integration
Architect and implement file-to-file integrations with external applications and trading partners.
Configure and support protocols such as:
o SFTP / FTPS
o AS2
o HTTP/S
o Connect:Direct
Lead complex partner onboarding, mailbox configuration, and routing rules.
Manage certificate lifecycle, encryption standards, and key exchanges.
Azure Cloud Deployment
Deploy and manage IBM Sterling components on Azure VMs / storage / networking.
Work with cloud teams on:
o Load balancers
o Auto-scaling (if applicable)
o Network security groups
o Key Vault integration
Ensure cloud security and compliance standards.
Production Support & Governance
Provide L3/L4 support, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
Define monitoring, alerting, and operational procedures.
Drive patching, upgrades, and environment migrations.
Ensure SLA adherence and platform stability.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Act as SME for IBM Sterling MFT platform.
Mentor junior team members and review configurations/solutions.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
Participate in client discussions, solutioning, and estimations.
Documentation & Compliance
Create and maintain:
o HLD / LLD
o SOPs
o Runbooks
o Security and audit documentation
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data protection policies.
Professional & Technical Skills:
10+ years of experience in IBM Sterling Connect / Connect:Direct / Sterling File Gateway / B2B Integrator.
Strong expertise in Managed File Transfer architecture and implementation.
Hands-on experience in installing and configuring IBM Sterling on Azure cloud.
Deep knowledge of:
o Secure file transfer protocols
o SSL/TLS, SSH keys, certificates
o Network and firewall configurations
Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning skills.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
