Summary:
As an Oracle DB Configuration & Administrator, a typical day involves Providing L1/L2 operational support for Oracle DB databases used by enterprise applications. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, diagnosing problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and support business continuity through timely and effective problem resolution.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for database related incidents, service requests, and user issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle DB issues related to availability, connectivity, performance, capacity, and data access within defined SLAs.
- Participate in on call and shift based support rotations as part of the infrastructure operations model.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, cloud, and network teams during major incidents and outages
- Identify performance issues such as slow queries, index inefficiencies, or resource constraints and take corrective actions.
- Proactively detect potential issues and raise risks before they impact users or applications.
- Monitor Oracle DB instances using enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.
- Support Oracle DB patching, version upgrades, and maintenance activities as per infrastructure standards.
- Follow ITIL aligned processes for incident, change, and problem management.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring Oracle DB incidents.
- Implement preventive actions to reduce repeat operational issues.
- Maintain accurate incident records and operational metrics for reporting.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA), Cloud Fundamentals (AWS), DB Monitoring Tools, Unix/Linux, Shell scripting , Cloud Migration experience.
- Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of backup and recovery procedures for database systems.
- Ability to manage database security, including user access and permissions.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of data replication and high availability solutions.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- Flexible to work in Shifts during weekday & Weekend during India hours (7 AM - 10 PM IST)
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
