Who you'll be:
Join our team as an Application Security Engineer, where you'll provide specialized security engineering and sustainment support for the Agency's application systems throughout their lifecycle. This role involves integrating Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into security tools, administering and tuning applications, and supporting ISSOs during security processes.
What you'll do:
- Administer, configure, maintain, tune, and secure application systems to prevent unnecessary POA&Ms and risks.
- Operate and maintain mandated applications and emerging technologies under the Agency's SOC control.
- Support ISSOs during the Agency's ATO/ATT process, ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
- Develop, deploy, and integrate ML and AI into the Agency's security tools.
- Perform weekly security impact assessments and assist with vendor product evaluations.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and alerting for CSD-managed applications.
- Manage application configuration items under the Agency's change management tool.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Security Logging mandates and support the CSD Service Desk in vulnerability management.
What you need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development with a focus on Cybersecurity; or 3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- TS/SCI clearance required due to elevated-access programs supported by other federal offices.
Nice to have:
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
