Job Description:

  • Lead & build private cloud (VMWare) and public components such as Azure infrastructure components (e.g. ASE, AKS clusters, Blob storage, geo-replication) using infrastructure-as-code tools like Github, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, SALT, or similar.

  • Provide technical leadership to team of application release engineers for code deployment orchestration, CI/CD pipeline defect triage and incident management.

  • Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure engineering teams to adopt, align and enhancements of infra-engineering solutions.

  • Influence and apply IaC – Infrastructure as code principal to ensure maximum automation of build and deployment solutions.

  • Lead the development of code deployment automation and orchestration capabilities which enable engineers to deploy code in repeatable fashion across all environments.

  • Design, implement and maintain an automated build and install/deploy process; develop and maintain build scripts of projects and/or products.

  • In partnership with appropriate stake holders, evaluate and recommend optimal solutions for cloud infrastructure build, environment integration and code deployment orchestration Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand automated solutions, processes, and service levels.

  • Integrate technical solutions within the business technology platform, recognizing system interdependencies and reusability, and ensuring seamless delivery.

  • Adhere to enterprise security levels and adopt "Secure-first "approach for processes, information exchange and system implementations.

  • Act as an expert resource providing insight and recommendations based on industry and technology trends, system strategy, and design.

  • Perform functions for cloud services and products.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION:

  • University or post-graduate degree

  • Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or ARE roles in large enterprise or regulated environments.

  • In-depth understanding of DevOps principles, tools, and processes

  • Expert proficiency in Azure infrastructure and AKS cluster deployment and operations.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Helm chart development, YAML, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, SALT, Chef), and CI/CD tools.

  • Solid scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell; Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Nexus, etc.

  • Experience in monitoring and logging tooling (e.g. Splunk, DataDog, Dynatrace) for reliability and incident response.

  • Proven ability to adopt architectural frameworks and drive enterprise standards.

  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and coordination skills.

  • Experience maintaining RAID logs and facilitating issue/risk conversations across multiple teams.

  • Aptitude for complex environments, self-driven mindset, strong organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in regulated sectors such as finance or healthcare.

  • Familiarity with TD standards, tools, governance, change management (ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, AutoSys, etc.).

Current Shift (Rotating Shifts) based on business needs with possibility to change:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

On-Call (Monday - Sunday): 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM

24/7 rotating shifts (including weekends) 

SHAREHOLDER:

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams during release planning cycle and provide technical input regarding infrastructure readiness.

  • Contribute to the development of the guiding principles by providing feedback to the Application Release Engineering practice leaders based on platform knowledge, experience and identification of opportunities.

  • Contribute to the creation and gathering of ARE metrics with the goal of demonstrating automation progress and benefits achieved.

  • Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain or expand service levels.

  • Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement improvements/solutions (buy/build/reuse) that enhance customer experience and availability, and reduce costs in support of segment platform/product needs.

  • Interact with governance and control groups, (e.g. regulatory / operational risk, compliance, security and audit) to provide subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues / items related to Engineering technology and tools

  • Protect the interests of the organization, identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions / activities as necessary.

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

  • Consults and engages other peers in Engineering, Operations and Development teams with respect to all aspects of operational support/solutions.

  • Participate in joint triage of critical infrastructure build or deployment issues by collaborating with appropriate stake holders.

  • Works autonomously on highly complex project issues which are diverse in scope and or multifaceted; often provides leadership and direction to business heads to establish and execute common goals.

  • Advocates operational improvements to enhance value to the organization; provides recommendations on the development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement.

  • Typically reports to the Application Release Engineering Segment Practice Lead
