Application Packager

A3 Technology, Inc. is searching for a full-time Application Packager to join our National IT Operations support team. This individual will be part of a team responsible for the planning, design, testing, and deployment of COTS and non-COTS software applications, security patches, and operating system upgrades in a large, distributed enterprise environment of more than 50,000+ devices.

This position can be located in Fort Worth, TX, Egg Harbor Township, NJ, Oklahoma City, OK or Washington, DC 

Responsibilities:

• Assume a technical role and will participate in project assessment, software testing, custom scripting, pilot testing, user acceptance and communication, and remediation activities associated with large scale software deployments.
• Need the ability to write technical documentation in the form of test plans, installation plans and incident reviews.
• Interface with other release team members to ensure all technical aspects of the deployment have been accounted for in order to minimize risk to IT infrastructure.
• Help solve complex technical issues and develop customized solutions in deploying software applications to a diverse workstation environment.
• Work in a test, configuration management and release management environment, interfacing with various process owners.

Skills Required:

• Experience using the following scripting language: VBScript.
• Experience using PowerShell for a minimum of two years.
• Experience using Tanium.
• Knowledge of management and deployment tools like Marimba, Altiris, SCCM.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Domain services including Group Policy Management.
• Experience in software and hardware testing, custom scripting, and pilot testing for a minimum of five years.
• Experience supporting application testing for Windows 11.
• Experience testing multiple applications simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including experience writing reports and communicating verbally with peers and client managers.
• Excellent time management skills.

Skills Preferred:

• Experience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).
• Experience collaborating with peer and client teams.
• Experience working remotely and onsite.
• Experience using a Helpdesk system – ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience in the FAA environment.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED and 11 years IT experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 5 years IT experience.
