Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead and coach Agile teams in delivering high-quality digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, proven experience facilitating core Scrum ceremonies, and the ability to manage cross-team dependencies and stakeholder communication effectively. This role requires a proactive leader who can foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensure alignment across squads, and drive end-to-end delivery excellence. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Scrum Master Core Competencies • Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. • Coach and guide teams on Agile principles and best practices as defined in the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto. • Support multiple squads/pods, ensuring alignment and consistency in delivery across teams. • Promote self-organization, collaboration, and accountability within teams. Cross-Pod Dependency Management • Identify, track, and manage inter-team dependencies to prevent delivery bottlenecks. • Maintain and visualize dependencies using tools such as JIRA Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence, or Miro. • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners to synchronize sprint goals and priorities. • Proactively drive resolution of external dependencies early in the sprint cycle. RAID Log Awareness • Maintain and communicate a RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log. • Ensure RAID items are regularly reviewed, updated, and integrated into team planning activities. • Facilitate discussions to address and mitigate risks or blockers impacting delivery. Capacity Planning • Facilitate team capacity planning during sprint planning sessions. • Account for holidays, leaves, and unplanned work while setting sprint commitments. • Help teams make realistic commitments aligned with historical velocity. • Track and communicate burndown/burnup progress to ensure transparency. Definition of Ready (DoR) & Definition of Done (DoD) • Establish and maintain clear and consistent DoR and DoD criteria for the team. • Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog items meet the DoR before entering a sprint. • Validate that all acceptance criteria, test coverage, and signoffs meet the DoD before completion. Stakeholder Management • Act as a communication bridge between business, product, and technology stakeholders. • Manage expectations around timelines, risks, and delivery commitments. • Organize and facilitate showcases, demo days, and leadership check-ins. • Provide transparent reporting on sprint progress, risks, and outcomes. Digital End-to-End Journey Delivery • Oversee and coordinate customer-facing digital product journeys across web, mobile, and omnichannel platforms. • Facilitate alignment between frontend, backend, API, design, QA, and integration teams. • Understand and manage the end-to-end delivery flow from requirements to release. • Ensure seamless collaboration between teams to maintain cohesive customer and technical experiences. ________________________________________ Professional & Technical Skills: • Must have -Familiarity with SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or Agile Scale frameworks. • Must have -Experience participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning or Big Room Planning sessions. • Must have -Working knowledge of Agile Release Trains or Tribe-level coordination. • Must have -Advanced use of JIRA for sprint tracking, dashboards, and dependency mapping. • Must have -Experience with Confluence for documentation and Miro/MURAL for visual collaboration. • Must have -Support teams through Agile transformation initiatives (e.g., Waterfall to Agile transition). • Must have -Mentor and coach new Scrum Masters or less experienced Agile team • Must have -Track and analyze key Agile metrics: velocity, sprint burndown, throughput, and cumulative flow diagrams. • Must have -Prepare and present progress and health reports for senior leadership. • Must have -Use metrics to identify improvement opportunities and guide continuous enhancement initiatives. • Good to have - Familiarity with SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or Agile Scale frameworks. • Good to have - Experience participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning or Big Room Planning sessions. • Good to have -Working knowledge of Agile Release Trains or Tribe-level coordination. ________________________________________ Additional Information: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile delivery environments. • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies with proven coaching experience. • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile visualization tools. • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • This position is based at Pune client office.15 years full time education
