As an Application Engineer II, candidate would be responsible for the design, engineering, testing, and commissioning of airport systems, including Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VDGS), would work closely with project, engineering, and customer teams to deliver reliable, innovative and compliant airport solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience in AGL design, proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN, and working knowledge of AGL, VDGS and ALCMS/AGL commissioning activities.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AGL and VDGS solutions in accordance with ICAO/FAA/CASA/DGCA CAR standards and project requirements.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cabinet drawings, loop sensor designs, cable schedules, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Support integration of AGL, VDGS, CCR and related airport operational systems.
  • Execute FAT, SAT, installation supervision, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and commissioning of AGL, VDGS, and CCR systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, consultants, contractors, and field engineers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and technical submittals.
  • Support technical reviews, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, risk assessments, and customer presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, safety procedures, and airport operational requirements.

Travel to customer sites for surveys, design validation, installation support, testing, commissioning, and post-installation support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in AGL system design and engineering and Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, panel design, control systems, and commissioning activities.
  • 6-8 years of experience in airport systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of ICAO, FAA, and international airport lighting standards.
  • Experience with Airport system and Strong Electrical Component background, SCADA, HMI systems, panel design, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience in AGL, VDGS, and CCR commissioning.
  • Familiarity with airport operations, electrical infrastructure, and safety requirements.
  • Strong communication, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
