Job Description
We are seeking an application engineering manager who will manage and deliver technical solutions for digital, mixed-signal, and RF IC device testing to our customers based on Advantest 93K products and services.
They will lead a team of engineers supporting the day-to-day activities in person at the customer site, owning responsibility for the team’s deliverables and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
They will provide support for both pre-sales and post-sales assessment of customer needs as well as quick implementation/execution of the solution.
You'll work on cutting-edge technology working side by side with our customers in close collaboration with R&D and marketing in a cross-functional, international environment. This is an ideal position for a software or electrical engineer with a strong test engineering background, requiring both in depth knowledge of the V93000 system, as well as strong people skills to collect customer requirements and manage the delivery of solutions in a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical leadership and support in the sales and support of Advantest V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems and Applications for a specific customer or wherever business needs dictate.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the RF project team, tracking deliverables and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Requires RF technology skills in fields like Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g/n, 5G, 802.15.4, mmWave, WiGig, or Radar
- Familiar with Rx and Tx Test Methodology, 93k test program and test method development.
- Ability to design hardware for RF devices and having knowledge of RF Matching and De-embedding is a plus.
- Perform analysis of complex IC manufacturer customer requirements providing expertise on topics such as: Performance, Design, Utilization, Optimization, test program development/conversions and Implementation Strategies
- Accountable for the design, scoping, and technical validity of the solution to achieve the customer's business objectives.
- Focus for technical topics is on mixed signal and RF technologies, digital and DC testing
- Solves problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Travel: Approximately 25% travel to various customer and Advantest sites.
Requirements:
- BS in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent discipline and experience
- V93000 and/or other ATE test engineering experience
- >7 years practical experience in application development or test engineering on ATE for analog and RF devices
- Knowledge and experience on test program development for high frequency RF devices such as 5G, 802.15.4, mmWave, WiGig or Radar
- Demonstrated experience with LINUX, JAVA, C, C++
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry
- Ability to work in a fast paced, project oriented, team environment
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
- MS degree or higher
- Signal integrity design, simulation and measurement experience
- ATE test interface board (load board) design and verification
