Job Description:
Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer IV with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain software tools and infrastructure that support enterprise analytics, software reuse, and secure application environments.
Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you will monitor and maintain analytic environments, support system security and patching efforts, automate routine operational tasks, and evaluate innovative technology solutions. You'll leverage modern containerization, cloud, and open-source technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions supporting critical national security missions.
As an Application Engineer IV, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers, improve enterprise infrastructure, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies that support mission success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain software tools and subsystems that support enterprise analytics and software reuse.
- Support software development and sustainment using formal design methodologies and accepted software engineering practices.
- Monitor the health, performance, and availability of analytic environments.
- Perform system security patching, software updates, and routine maintenance activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting systems, infrastructure, and operational processes.
- Automate routine operational and administrative tasks through scripting and automation tools.
- Evaluate and recommend open-source and commercial technologies to improve enterprise capabilities.
- Support containerized application environments and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance, operational efficiency, and infrastructure reliability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Apache Spark.
- Experience with Apache Airflow.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience managing container environments using container registries such as Harbor.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including routers and firewalls.
