About the Role
Join a team developing next-generation test solutions for Silicon Photonics (SiPh), Optical Engines (OE), Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), and Optical I/O applications. Working closely with customers, R&D, and marketing teams, you will help define and deploy innovative test methodologies for emerging photonic devices and high-volume manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop test methodologies for Silicon Photonics and optical interconnect devices.
- Support strategic customers in characterization, validation, and production test challenges.
- Drive customer evaluations, benchmark projects, and pre-sales technical activities.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to influence future test solutions and product roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership for complex customer issues and cross-functional projects.
- Share application knowledge and best practices across global engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related disciplines.
- 7+ years of experience in semiconductor, photonics, optoelectronics, or ATE testing.
- Strong customer communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Linux and programming languages such as Python or C/C++.
- Proven project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated team player with willingness to travel (<20%).
Preferred Technical Expertise
- Silicon Photonics (PIC), Optical Engines, CPO, Optical I/O, or Optical Transceivers.
- Photonic device testing, including:
- Modulators (MZM/MRM)
- Photodiodes (PD/MPD)
- VOA and passive optical components
- Optical measurements:
- Insertion Loss
- Optical Power
- Extinction Ratio
- BER
- Eye Diagram Analysis
- Wavelength Characterization
- High-speed SerDes, signal integrity (SI), and power integrity (PI) analysis.
- Wafer-level optical test, optical alignment, or high-volume manufacturing test development.
- Experience with V93000 or similar ATE platforms is highly desirable.

- Experience with insertion loss, optical power, extinction ratio, BER, eye diagram analysis, and wavelength characterization
- High-speed SerDes, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis experience
- Wafer-level optical test, optical alignment, or high-volume manufacturing test development experience
- Experience with V93000 or similar automated test equipment platforms
