Job Description

  • Application installation, configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
  • Application monitoring, performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
  • Performing applications support and maintenance activities such as incident, change, release and problem resolution;
  • Writing and validating application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides, backup and restore plans;
  • Automate administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
  • Contributing to the structuring, maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
  • Reporting on application availability, performance, capacity and overall usage where required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Presents excellent command of English, at least at B2 level.
  • More than 6 years working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support and maintenance of applications
  • More than 5 years of experience with administration and support of recent operating system versions of Microsoft Windows Servers and/or Red-Hat Linux on enterprise environments.
  • More than 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration (with focus on SharePoint and OpenText Content Server )
  • More than 2 years of experience with DevOps and automated deployment and configuration scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python).
  • More than 2 years of experience with configuration management tools for applications (e.g. Puppet)
  • Knowledge of the deployment and administration of SharePoint clusters
  • Knowledge of the deployment and administration of OpenText Content Server
  • Knowledge of the of integration technologies and protocols such as RESTful APIs, SOAP web services
  • Knowledge of OpenText Content Server APIs and SDKs for programmatically accessing and manipulating documents and metadata.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint customizations, including web parts, event receivers, and workflows.
  • Knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of ITIL, including the incident, change and release management processes
  • Knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of DEVOPS
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and how they interact with applications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with developing SharePoint customizations, including web parts, event receivers, and workflows, (Programming Languages: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript for client-side development)
