Application Developer

Application Developer would be responsible for many technical aspects: code development, security assessment, bug triage and fixes, infrastructure deployment, application uptime and network management, user request support. Applications would involve data management/harvest system, information discovery tool, reporting and analysis, and metadata entry and management. Would be working with a team of developers to develop, maintain, support and improve current and new metadata systems.
Position Scope
- Code development (writing application code for use cases, reviewing code)
- Security assessment and resolution (reviewing CVE and other security findings against libraries and web scanning tools)
- Bug triage and resolution (reviewing user/team findings, reproduce results, fix the problems)
- Infrastructure management (CI/CD deployment processes, scaling analysis, O&M)
- User request support (answering applications questions, resolving bugs, researching issues and discrepancies)
Experience
- 3-5 minimum years of developer experience
Required Requirements
- Must be US Citizen to meet government contract requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust clearance
- Python and Flask experience
- Testing (UI playwright and pytest unit testing)
Preferred Requirements:
- Data metadata standards (CSDGM, ISO, DCAT) usage or implementation
- Cloud.gov usage or support (or Cloud Foundry)
- GitHub code development (ticket management, Actions, branching, etc)
- Security assessment of CVE’s and upgrades/fixes
- Data management/pipeline experience (ETL)
- Jinja2 templating library
- Experience with the New Relic monitoring tool

Skills Required
