Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Developer to support a large, complex organization operating in a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. This role focuses on building, enhancing, maintaining, and debugging computer applications that support daily operations and long-term technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, solution-oriented, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful systems used by thousands of internal and external users. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional application development experience, including building, enhancing, and debugging computer applications in a production environment.
  • Professional experience in application development or software engineering
  • Experience building, enhancing, or debugging applications in a production environment
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Clean and sanitize offices, maintenance shops, transit centers, and passenger vehicles
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors and surfaces
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies
  • Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in high-traffic public areas
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain custom computer applications
  • Enhance existing applications by adding new features and improving performance
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and defects
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices
  • Support application deployments and post-release maintenance
  • Ensure applications meet security, performance, and compliance standards

  • Experience with web-based and/or client-server applications

  • Ability to attend meetings, training sessions, and collaborative work sessions

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education Preferences:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Java, or similar)
  • Ongoing professional development in software development or emerging technologies
