This position is fully onsite in Jefferson City, Missouri. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain database solutions, across multiple platforms.
- Performs problem analysis and resolution related to data and databases across various platforms.
- SQL code reviews for standards, best practices and evaluate statement explain costs.
- Research database structures including in-house and 3rd party solutions, data analysis, and documentation.
- Previous knowledge and experience in a DB2 Z/OS environment.
- Understand technical environments for DB2 on Z/OS mainframe.
- Implement ETL using MS SQL Server SSIS and create MS SQL Server SSRS reporting.
- Effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or BA in Information Systems or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of database design principles in relational and data warehousing environment
- Highly competent in database performance tuning, creation of right indexing strategy to meet data growth needs and query optimization
- Strong SQL skills to provide code review and tuning feedback to the development and reporting team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with business and technical teams.
- Effectively communicates and documents technical architecture and solutions to internal peer groups as well as other groups
- Strong knowledge of database administration, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and systems analysis procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a DB2 Z/OS environment and/or MS SQL Server environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server integration and reporting services
- Self-motivation and remains flexible in a dynamic work environment
- A team player with solid communication skills, excellent at problem solving, troubleshooting, and embracing new challenges
- Ability to manage time across multiple, simultaneous projects, with attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as the maturity to work independently
