As an API Functional Business Analyst, you will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders in the successful delivery of API solutions. Your role will involve gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements to enhance our API offerings, ensuring they meet the business needs and comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements for API functionalities from stakeholders.
- Payment Experience is must
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Conduct analysis of existing APIs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure understanding and execution of requirements.
- Define API testing strategies in coordination with the testing team.
- Facilitate discussions on API design, usability, and performance with stakeholders.
- Monitor API performance and propose enhancements based on user feedback and data analysis.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including API specifications, user guides, and training material.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices regarding API development and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of API technologies, standards, and best practices (e.g., REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Passion for technology and a keen interest in improving business processes through API solutions.
