Job Purpose (Summary Of The Role)

To undertake the development of APIs, including RESTful and SOAP architectural style according to service-oriented-architecture and API best practices patterns. The candidate should be a Java developer (including Java Enterprise Edition) and have solid API and backend integration experience, including API management frameworks (Apigee is a plus). The candidate should have expertise in Web APIs and services and integrating with external partners as well as internal systems, by following API security best practices. The candidate should be able to develop end-to-end API based digital solutions and ensure timely delivery of respective components. Proficient in Oracle relational and develop the necessary scripts.

Experience of working APIs development is necessary. Strong work ethic, Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple (including remote) teams.

Knowledge & Technical Skills Required

  • Experience in Web APIs technologies (J2EE, Spring Boot, JSON, REST, Swagger, OpenAPI, SOAP, SMPP, MQ, XML\JSON, JWT and WSDL, Eclipse).
  • Experience in Web APIs development (RESTful, SOAP). With following best practices and standards (i.e. OpenAPI, TMforum)
  • Experience in Java & J2EE development is a must
  • Build Tools (Maven, Gradle)
  • Experience in API management platforms (i.e. Apigee) – Additional advantage.
  • Hands on experience with building secure APIs, by following security industry standards and protocols (i.e. OAuth2)
  • Experience on Oracle Databases, UNIX and shell scripting.
  • Experience on microservices solution development is an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge in Telecom domain (i.e EAI, OSS/BSS, SIEBEL, etc) - Optional

Certification specifications if any

Educational Qualifications

Engineering in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent.
