Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operations within the department. You will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, contributing to the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Manage and process outgoing bills and invoices, including utilities, inventory purchases, and employee reimbursements.
- Update and maintain records of all expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies or disputes.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with payroll processing when needed.
Accounts Receivable:
- Monitor and track incoming payments and revenue streams.
- Prepare and send out invoices to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections in a professional manner.
- Maintain records of customer payments and account statuses.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, or a related financial role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor and client interactions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
