We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will play a crucial part in supporting the firm's Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO). As an APAC WKO associate within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you partner with Clients, Business, Operations, Credit, Compliance and Legal teams to provide efficient and timely on-boarding of new client relationships to the JPMorgan infrastructure and renewal of existing client relationships. You will be responsible for supporting business requests for KYC Onboarding, Remediation and Renewals. You will need to facilitate the end-to-end client onboarding process, ensuring all due diligence documentation is sourced and appropriately documented into the KYC platform. You will also leverage AI to enhance the KYC process.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage new business and KYC periodic refresh requests, liaising with stakeholders such as Business, Clients, and Compliance partners to facilitate the KYC process end-to-end.
- Identify and execute process enhancements and opportunities, including leveraging AI, and provide guidance and support on key process and technology initiatives to the business.
- Drive the transformation program and the department’s change management strategy.
- Act as an SME and due diligence expert to guide clients through KYC requirements and documentation variations to fulfil due diligence standards.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on client ownership structures through publicly available sources (not limited to company registries) or client documentation, seeking additional confirmation or approvals as required.
- Follow up with relevant teams to ensure onboarding is completed within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise regularly with stakeholders to conduct workload planning, review status of key onboardings, and prioritize open requests.
- Interact frequently with key stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Credit, and Operations to develop strong partnerships, eliminate roadblocks, and escalate key risks/issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of information flow.
- Stay informed of changes to processes, procedures, and regulations to enable open dialogue with colleagues across the region.
- Support the production and management of key management metrics and reporting.
- Initiate and lead projects supporting the region or the globe.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in KYC / Onboarding functions
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of KYC/Compliance/AML procedures and standards is essential
- Knowledge of multiple client types (i.e. Corporates, FIs, FinTechs, SPV, Trust, Funds etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Resilient interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner with internal stakeholders, influencing and negotiating effectively with business, clients and other stakeholders
- Strong time management, organizational, client service and relationship management skills
- Client focused mindset while maintaining a strong controls mindset and focus on quality
- Prior experience of adhering to controls and compliance standards
- Ability to grasp/learn concepts and procedures quickly
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and automation & visualization tools (Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau)

- Relevant experience in KYC / Onboarding functions within the banking industry
- Knowledge of financial industry and experience with KYC in Commercial & Investment Banking is preferred
