The Role
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
- within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects
- Very sophisticated products, product lines and systems requiring a thorough technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used. Products, product lines and systems are client specific and involve important research, customization and new product development.
- Very complex long term sales processes, complexity may involves customized technical solutions, long-term contract conditions, indirect management of internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales Application Engineering, Commercial Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Product Development, other product line leaders) as well as external, such as government (PPPs), etc.
- Global Baker Hughes key clients
- Plays a leading role in the sales process when negotiation involves a strategic, high volume or financial impact to the business. Leads negotiations with a client organization. Indirect leadership and influence multidisciplinary teams internally (e.g. engineering, legal, risk, finance etc).
- Is involved in big sales projects with a combined yearly value of several hundred million dollars
- Leads a department (functional area or organizational unit) that is composed of different teams and works on multinational or even global level or leadership roles for large and complex organizations with local scope.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires experience in and/or outside the organization with typically 10+ years relevant business experience. Experience in managing others for at least 2 years. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master level degree.
