Role Summary:
Picarro is expanding our Asia-Pacific (APAC) Environmental Sales Team to meet our growth needs, and is looking for a seasoned, high-energy, and driven sales manager APAC (Korea, Japan) with strong experience selling and managing channel partners focused on instrumentation and highly technical value-driven sales. This is an individual contributor position where you will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development in your assigned region of Asia Pacific, including the partner network. The Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales, APAC.
You will:
- Reporting to the director of sales for APAC, you will own the strategy and execution for sales in your region.
- Manage a large partner and reseller network, benchmarking existing partners, holding partners accountable, and bringing on new partners to grow Picarro business
- Meeting directly with customers for direct sales and joining partners to help drive Picarro business
- Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions such as marketing and engineering
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
Must-have qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and at least 5 years technical sales experience.
- Strong understanding of sales process and working with a CRM (SalesForce, Dynamics, NetSuite)
- “Start-up” mentality and keen on working in a small, yet growing environment
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive-level customers and partners
- Keen understanding and appreciation of selling to large enterprise customers with traditionally long sales cycles
- Experience in key markets a plus (Academia, Government Research Labs, Private Research Labs, Test and Measurement, Instrumentation)
- Selling hybrid (hardware and software) products a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed (>50%)
- Must be in the region of East Asia. Primary locations include Singapore, Japan, and Korea, but anywhere in the region is acceptable.
- Must be fluent in English to communicate with company headquarters.
- Must be legally able to travel to the United States to company headquarters.
Salary & Benefits:
Your base salary range and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
